Zangfu Qigong

Beginners level 

1. Heart Qigong massage

Explanation

1) Do the Opening and Closing Forms in sitting  position as from last weeks lesson
    a) The relaxed & quiescent form ,
    b) The three deep exhaling & inhaling form, 
    c) The three opening & closing of the lower dantian Form.

2) Place the left hand gently on the Heart region & place the right hand on top of the left hand.
    (For Females place right with left on Top.)

3) Massage twelve circles leftwards (top to bottom) then twelve circles in the opposite direction.
    (The number of circles can be increased or decreased in multiples of six.) 

4) Then do “Point respiration” three times.

5) The mind should be focused on the circulation of blood and dispersing any blood stasis in the
    Heart region

6) Do the ending forms. which is the Opening forms in reverse order.(The three opening & closing
    form, The three deep exhaling & inhaling Form, The relaxed & quiescent form in standing
    position.) 
    
7)  Do this massage three times.

 

Functions

   For insomnia and palpitations
   In TCM this exercise promotes blood and Qi circulation, dispersing blood stasis and dredges the
   channel and collaterals .
   It also aids in housing the Shen.
