2) Taiji gong (Part 2)
Opening the vessels
Explanation
a) From the Taiji gong position slowly let your arms float up in front of you with your palms facing
upwards. Assume the position of reading a book
b) Breathing in and draw your palms back towards your body, let the finger tips brush the ribs and
activate Da bao (Sp21), when you feel them brush past this point turn the fingers behind and
push behind yourself slowly breathing out and circle them around to the front with the palms
turning to face down.
c) Breathing in, draw the arms back palms down and then down as though massaging the yang
aspect of the yin yang symbol, breath out as you press forwards, turn the palms up to face
forward. Repeat 6 times.
d) At the end of the sixth time let your hands float back to rest in your lap with palms facing
upwards
e) Now very subtly use your body to gently rock forward to activate the arms to roll forward and
upwards, breathing in deep into the Dantian at the same time. Let the arms circle up to under
the chin then as you rock back release the breath and press downwards with palms facing down.
Turn the palms upwards at the bottom. Repeat the movement 5 Times
f) This exercise is like rubbing the a big belly, the palms follow the shape of the belly
